Continuous Ecological Monitoring

Mapping birdsong for community conservation.

Collaborative Acoustic Monitoring

A recorder left at a spot hears what a survey team would miss: every dawn, every season, every bird that calls. CEM turns those hours of audio into knowledge — BirdNET identifies each species, the pipeline aggregates detections by place and time, and this map publishes the result as an open, georeferenced register of the birdlife at every public spot.

Explore species richness across the network, follow a single bird to the spots where it was most active, and listen to its best nine seconds. Contributors run their own CEM on their own recordings and publish when ready; students, municipalities and conservation groups read the same map. One shared dataset, built from the ground up.
