Location
The meeting will be held at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi
(IIT-D) which is located in Hauz Khas in South Delhi.
The entrance to IIT Delhi is on the Outer Ring Road (this
stretch is named Gamal Abdul Nasser Marg) about 300m west of
the intersection (known as IIT Crossing or IIT Gate)
with Aurobindo Marg (aka Mehrauli Road). Aurobindo Marg
connects
Qutab Minar (3 kms) to the South and AIIMS is located on the intersection
with Ring Road, roughly
3 km north. There is a flyover on Outer-ring road going over the
intersection, so people coming from the Airport side are advised to
take U-turn underneath the flyover since the IIT Main Gate is located on the
other side. Alternately there is an underground subway opposite the
IIT main gate for pedestrians. People coming from AIIMS side must take a right turn on
the IIT Crossing.
The talks by Fellows/Associates and the workshops will be held in the
Seminar Hall located in the main building. The bigger events like
the inauguration function and the
public lectures will be held in the adjoining Dogra Hall.
Google map users can click here for a large scale map of
the IIT Delhi campus. The guest houses of ICSSR, IMC and IUAC and NII can
also be located on this map by navigating west and following Aruna Asaf
Ali Marg (going South).

The Shriram Bharatiya Kala Kendra will present the dance drama Karna
directed by Shobha Deepak Singh and choreographed by Late Guru
Krisha Chandra Naik and Shashidharan Nair. The Shriram Bharatiya
Kala Kendra is one of the established music and dance institutions of the
Capital, and has been notable in the revival and reinterpretation of many
traditional dance forms, such as Kathak and Chau. The present work draws upon
the epic poem Rashmirathi by Ramdhari Singh Dinkar to interpret the
story of Karna, as told in the Mahabharata, in a manner that resonates with
modern times and sensibilities.
