Image Negative


The Negative of the image was found out by replacing any Intensity 'i' in the original image by 'i-1' in the negative.

Contrast  Stretching

Contrast Stretching on the image shown below was done. It can be noticed that the source image is dull and most of its grey levels
are cluttered up in the center of the histogram. After contrast stretching these gray level have been 'stretched' giving a better
contrast to the image.First the transfer function used for the process is shown.

Thresholding

The same routine can also be used for thresholding (i.e. changing the image to black and white) by using an appropriate tranfer function
