All papers accepted in ICVGIP 2006 must follow the LNCS template style exactly and should be no more than 12 pages in length. We strongly recommend that the LaTeX template style is used. If you are using the MS Word template, please ensure that your formatting matches the LNCS style.

Papers which do not follow these guidelines will NOT be published. Do not forget to upload the signed copyright release form, because the paper cannot be included for publication in LNCS unless the signed form is received by us.

Please read the instructions given below carefully, well in advance of the submission deadline.

  1. Use the following paper formatting templates to format your paper as per the LNCS style. Please read the explanatory lncs.pdf (available in the zip file) carefully for further instructions.

You can download all the above as a single zip file.

We recommend that you use the LaTeX files to produce your document, since they have been set up to meet the formatting guidelines listed above. The LaTeX environment files specify suitable margins, page layout, text, and a bibliography style. Your paper should ultimately look similar to the ICVGIP 2006 submission example.

The document should be converted from LaTeX to standard PDF that is readable using Acrobat Reader 6.0 or later. To prevent problems with fonts, please create portable PDF files. Choose an option like Download all fonts, when creating the PDF file(s). Please use 'outline' fonts and not 'bitmap' fonts, for the same reason.

Also, please make sure that an image embedded in your paper does not contain transparent pixels (i.e. an alphachannel of a transparent color) because this will lead to problems when the resulting PDF is displayed or printed.

  2. Please ensure that you adhere to the page limit of 12 pages.

  3. Please try to incorporate all the modifications suggested by the reviewers for your paper. Also, ensure that there are no typographical and spelling errors.

  4. In order to upload your paper you have to login with your username and password at the ICVGIP 2006 Submission Portal. Your username and password are the same as used by you to submit your paper the first time.

  5. The camera ready version of your paper should be uploaded as a ZIP archive (only a ZIP archive, not TGZ or TAR.GZ or RAR). This archive should contain the final PDF version of your paper and the LaTex/MS-Word source of the paper alongwith all the images/figures included in the paper. The total size of this zip archive should be less than 20MB.

  6. Download the Springer LNCS copyright release form here. The copyright form must be filled and signed by one of the authors of the accepted paper. Then scan it and upload the scanned JPG (only a JPG image, not any other image format) from the camera ready upload page. Do not forget to complete this step, because your paper cannot be included for publication in LNCS unless the signed copyright release form is received by us.

  7. One completed copyright release form has to be uploaded for every accepted paper.
