The FPGA/DHD Design Laboratory is jointly funded by Philips Semiconductors and the Department of Computer Science and Engineering. It has several high-end PCI based FPGA cards, a host of synthesis and simulation tools as well as adequate measurement and analysis tools (Oscilloscopes, Logic Analyzers, Function Generators etc.) for carrying out any hardware project. The lab caters to research in the area of Embedded Systems with various case studies and proof-of-concept projects being carried out. An inhouse FPGA board, INCODE, has also been developed for carrying out small student projects.
